Central Bank of Turkey reduces discount rate to 14%

The next meeting of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Turkey (TCMB) was held today.
Report informs that the discount rate was reduced by one percentage point from 15% to 14%.
The discount rate was raised from 15% to 17% at the meeting of the TCMB on December 2, 2020, kept stable at the meeting on February 18, 2021, increased from 17% to 19% at the meeting on March 18, 2021. It was lowered from 19% to 18% on September 23, from 18% to 16% on October 21, and from 16% to 15% on November 18.
