CBA: Open foreign currency position of banking sector stands within prudential requirements

The open foreign currency position of Azerbaijan's banking sector is within prudential requirements, reads the Financial Stability Report of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA), Report informs.
According to the document, as of January 1 of this year, the short open foreign currency position of the banking system amounted to 329 million manats ($193 million), and its ratio to total capital was 5.3%, which is within regulatory requirements.
According to the "Rules for Determining Open Currency Position Limits in Banks", the maximum limit for the ratio of the total open currency position in freely convertible currency to the total capital of the bank is (-20%, +20%).
