CBA monetary base rises by more than 37%

"The Central Bank of Azerbaijan regularly takes steps to soften monetary policy. We have reduced the interest rate from 18% in 2018 to 8.25% today. Other direction of the softening of monetary policy is the softening of quantity, the volume of money we give to the economy, Currently, this is 9%," Elman Rustamov, Chairman of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) said at the meeting under President Ilham Aliyev on socio-economic field.
According to him, Central Bank’s monetary base increased by more than 37% during past two years.
