CBA discusses expanding financial inclusion in Azerbaijan's banking sector

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) has hosted discussions on expanding financial inclusion in the banking sector, CBA Governor Taleh Kazimov said in a post on X, Report informs.

"We held another meeting at the Central Bank with the executives of the banks comprising the Presidium of the Azerbaijan Banks Association," Kazimov wrote.

He added that during the meeting, they discussed the macroeconomic environment, the banking sector's performance in the first half of 2026, ongoing initiatives aimed at expanding financial inclusion, and the key challenges facing the sector.

"We also exchanged views on the strategic priorities of the banking sector and discussed key directions focused on further strengthening the regulatory and supervisory framework, enhancing the resilience and sustainability of the banking sector," the CBA Governor noted.
