Consumer loans soar as digitalization boosts demand, Azerbaijan's central bank says

According to surveys, digitalization is the main factor contributing to the growth in demand for consumer loans in the fourth quarter of 2024, CEO of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Fuad Isayev said at the first National Financial Accessibility Forum in Baku, according to Report.
"The CBA also pays attention to the formation of the payment systems environment, including the relevant legislation. Licensing of organizations operating in this field has begun," he noted.
