CBA: Current account surplus of balance of payments in first half of year amounted to $2.3B

The current account surplus of the balance of payments of Azerbaijan in the first half of 2025, according to operational data, amounted to $2.3 billion or 6.3% of GDP, Report informs referring to the data of the Central Bank (CBA).
Compared to the same period last year, the account surplus decreased by 11.5%.
"The Central Bank left its forecast unchanged that the current account of the balance of payments will be in surplus in 2025-2026," the CBA emphasizes.
In 2024, the current account surplus of the balance of payments of Azerbaijan amounted to $4.7 billion or 6.3% of GDP.
