CBA: Azerbaijani banks conducted transactions worth 67B AZN on Bloomberg in 9 months

In January-September 2024, Azerbaijani banks conducted transactions worth 67.1 billion manats ($39.47 billion) on the Bloomberg platform - in the unsecured interbank market, Report informs, citing the Monetary Policy Review of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the document, 2,466 transactions were carried out on the platform during the reporting period.
In addition, during the first nine months, 541 deals worth 7.9 billion manats ($4.65 billion) were concluded in the interbank repo market. Some 38% of the deals had a duration of 1-3 days, while 28% had a duration of 6-8 days.
"The number of deals concluded in both secured and unsecured markets has more than doubled compared to the same period last year," the CBA noted.
