CBA approved record number of prospectuses in Azerbaijani capital market in 2024

In 2024, the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) set a record in the capital market, approving 65 issue prospectuses, Asaf Mammadov, Head of the Securities Registration Department of the CBA, said at the 12th International Caspian Investment Forum.

According to Mammadov, the CBA has always tried to support issuers in the issue process: "In some cases, the CBA itself has taken the initiative to contact issuers or underwriters and made recommendations. The main goal is to ensure that issue prospectuses are drawn up in accordance with the legislation."

Mammadov added that the CBA intends to expand its activities in this area and has set two main goals this year to minimize shortcomings:

"It is planned to hold seminars with the participation of investment companies and issuers on the most common shortcomings. Work is already underway in this regard and it is planned to organize a presentation in the coming months. In addition, it is planned to increase methodological support. Special instructions will be developed on the preparation of prospectuses, which will help market participants in the correct implementation of procedures."
