BSTDB chief says Azerbaijan has built a dynamic, diversified economy

Azerbaijan has transformed into a dynamic economy with strong institutions, modern infrastructure and a diversified production base over recent decades, Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) President Serhat Koksal said Wednesday, Report informs.

Speaking at the 28th Annual Meeting of the BSTDB Board of Governors in Baku, Koksal said Azerbaijan now plays a key role not only as a major energy producer but also as a strategic transport and logistics hub linking East and West as well as North and South.

"The bank's operations in Azerbaijan have continuously evolved in line with the country's changing economic priorities. The annual meeting in Baku provides an important platform for establishing new partnerships, assessing investment opportunities and discussing practical mechanisms to support Azerbaijan's next stage of development," Koksal said.

He added that the BSTDB is ready to expand cooperation on new projects that will contribute to Azerbaijan's sustainable development.
