Azerbaijani manat's nominal and real exchange rates down in May

As of June 1, 2026, the nominal effective exchange rate of the Azerbaijani manat against foreign currencies stood at 102.5 points, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to CBA's recent data, this represents a monthly decrease of 0.4 points, unchanged compared to the beginning of the year, and 1.2 points lower than on June 1, 2025.
During the reporting period, the real effective exchange rate was 114.5 points – down 0.8 points from the previous month, 1.3 points from the start of the year, and 3 points compared to June 1, 2025.
