Azerbaijani Deposit Insurance Fund plans to pay compensation through AniPay

The Azerbaijani Deposit Insurance Fund plans to pay compensation through the AniPay system.

According to a Report correspondent in Shamakhi, Azer Amirov, Director of the Fund's Legal Department, announced the move at a forum marking National Press Day.

According to him, a transition to more advanced mechanisms is possible in the future: "Research is underway in this area, and electronic payment systems are already being developed. For example, we plan to connect to the AniPay platform. This will make it possible to transfer compensation directly to citizens' accounts in real time. Modern digitalization, artificial intelligence technologies, and e-services are in many cases ahead of legislative initiatives. This creates certain difficulties in integrating with new systems. However, work on paying compensation through electronic payment systems continues."

Amirov added that citizens can currently make payments by entering their personal identification number (FIN) through the Azerpoct, MilliÖN, and other payment systems.
