Azerbaijan, World Bank discuss financing for Bilasuvar–Astara road reconstruction

Azerbaijan and the World Bank reviewed financing opportunities for the reconstruction of the Bilasuvar–Astara section of the M3 highway and discussed the strategic role of regional transport corridors in economic integration, Report informs, citing the Finance Ministry of Azerbaijan.

Minister Sahil Babayev held a meeting with World Bank Regional Director for the South Caucasus Rolande Pryce. The sides discussed the current state of cooperation, joint projects in energy and transport, and priorities for future engagement, including sustainable urban development within WUF13 in Baku.

Pryce expressed interest in expanding cooperation in green development, climate resilience and infrastructure. She noted that the World Bank's participation in WUF13 is important in terms of expanding partnership in sustainable urban planning and infrastructure development.
