Azerbaijan spends over 1B manats on liberated territories in H1

Azerbaijan allocated 1.0641 billion manats for the restoration and reconstruction of the liberated territories of Karabakh and East Zangazur in the first half of 2026, Report informs, citing the Ministry of Finance.
The amount was 31.45% lower than in the corresponding period of last year.
The ministry said the allocated funds accounted for 30.4% of the financing planned for 2026, based on cash requests submitted by contracting organizations for approved projects.
Of the total amount, 974.1 million manats were allocated to infrastructure projects, including 489.3 million manats for the design, construction, and reconstruction of road infrastructure, 371.1 million manats for the design and construction of new residential complexes, 67.6 million manats for tourism infrastructure, 15.9 million manats for the design and construction of cable car systems in Shusha, Khankendi, and Lachin, 15.3 million manats for electricity supply to settlements in the liberated territories, 7.6 million manats for the preparation of design documentation and the construction of major water supply, sewage, and stormwater systems, and 7.3 million manats for the development of industrial parks and related infrastructure.
In addition, 29.8 million manats were allocated to social projects in the healthcare and cultural sectors, 45.3 million manats to demining operations, and 14.9 million manats to the construction and renovation of defense and law enforcement facilities.
