Azerbaijan, Santander Bank discuss financing investment projects

Azerbaijan and Santander Bank have discussed opportunities to finance investment projects in the country, including through multilateral financial institutions, Report informs.

The talks took place during a meeting between First Deputy Economy Minister Elnur Aliyev and representatives of Spain's Santander Bank, where the sides also reviewed opportunities to expand cooperation with the bank.

The meeting highlighted the development of Azerbaijan-Spain economic ties and prospects for broader cooperation. The sides noted the important role of the financial sector in strengthening economic partnership between the two countries and implementing joint projects.

They also discussed measures being taken to promote and support investment in Azerbaijan, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
