Azerbaijan's net financial assets rose by nearly $3B in 1H2025

In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan's net financial assets rose by just under $2.989 billion, Report informs, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA, this figure is 23.3 times higher than in the same period last year.
The growth was driven by a $516.3 million increase in foreign direct investments (up 22.5% year-on-year), a $947.4 million rise in portfolio investments (2.25 times higher), and over $1.525 billion increase in other investments, compared to a decline in the same category last year.
