The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) Board has introduced amendments to the Rules on Credit Risk Management in Banks.
According to Report, the decision was signed by Aliyar Mammadyarov, First Deputy Chairman of the CBA.
Under the new regulation, activities classified as green must comply with the requirements set out in the National Green Taxonomy, approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan on May 1, 2026.
Additionally, certifications listed in the Sectoral Technical Assessment Criteria tables of the National Green Taxonomy - under "Key criteria/technical standards and required certificates" - or, where applicable, ESG rating documents issued by international organizations, may be recognized as valid supporting documentation.
