Azerbaijan sees $3 billion in capital outflow in 1H2026

Azerbaijan's capital and financial account recorded a deficit of approximately $3 billion in the first half of this year, indicating a net outflow of capital and financial resources from the country, Samir Nasirli, Director of the Statistics Department at the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, told a press conference, Report informs.
He said that in January-June, Azerbaijan's net financial assets increased by $3.3 billion, while net financial liabilities rose by $0.3 billion.
As a result, the country's capital and financial account registered a negative balance of around $3 billion during the reporting period.
