Azerbaijan increases direct investment in Turkish economy by almost 64%

In the first half of 2025, Azerbaijan invested $177.4 million directly into the Turkish economy, marking a 63.9% year-on-year increase, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan.

During the reporting period, the share of Azerbaijan"s investment in the Turkish economy within its total foreign investments rose from 10.8% to 13.1%.

Meanwhile, Türkiye invested $628.7 million directly into Azerbaijan"s economy over the same six-month period-an increase of 1% year-on-year.

However, Türkiye"s share in Azerbaijan"s total foreign investment inflows declined from 20.9% to 19.5%.

For context, in January-June 2025, Azerbaijan"s total outbound direct investments amounted to just under $1.350 billion (up 35.2% from the previous year), while inbound direct investments exceeded $3.222 billion (an increase of 8.2%).
