Azerbaijan forecasts 5.3% inflation in 2027

The Azerbaijani government forecasts annual inflation in the country at 5.3% in 2027.
According to Report, citing the Ministry of Finance, the forecast was prepared by the Ministry of Economy taking into account the actual inflation rate so far this year, the relative decline in global commodity prices, including food prices, and its impact on import prices.
The forecast also takes into account the dynamics of the nominal effective exchange rate index, assumptions that the exchange rate will remain stable, and the impact of changes in regulated tariffs for goods and services.
The Ministry of Economy expects annual inflation in Azerbaijan to stand at 5.7% in 2026.
According to the State Statistical Committee, consumer prices rose by 5.7% in January-August this year compared with the same period of 2025.
In August, consumer prices increased by 5.7% year on year and by 0.2% compared with July.
