Azerbaijan drafting regulatory framework for green bonds

The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) attaches great importance to the formation of the regulatory framework for green bonds, CBA Chairman Taleh Kazimov said at the event titled "Raising Ambition, Delivering Action: COP29 Sustainable Business Forum", Report informs.
According to him, a draft amendment to the legislation on green bonds was submitted to the government in this regard: "We have accelerated our work within the framework of the regulation for the introduction of green lending, which is another important initiative."
He noted that the CBA attaches great importance to transparency and accountability: "The presentation of the report on sustainable finance for the first time this year is an indicator of this."
