As of January 1, 2025, the total assets of investment companies in Azerbaijan reached 182 million manats ($107 million), with liabilities amounting to 128 million manats ($75.3 million), Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).
According to the CBA’s Financial Stability Report, these figures represent significant year-on-year growth, with assets increasing by 50% and liabilities by 71% compared to January 1, 2024.
The CBA attributed this growth primarily to the expanded volume of repo and reverse repo operations in the specified period, which played a central role in driving the rise in both assets and liabilities of investment companies.
