The African Development Bank supports the early involvement of all stakeholders in the implementation of urban infrastructure projects, Mike M.B. Salawo, Director of the Infrastructure and Urban Development Department (PICU) of the African Development Bank, said during the investors' roundtable held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum 13 in Baku, according to Report.
"It is extremely important to involve all stakeholders at the very earliest stages of infrastructure project implementation. If social, financial, and technical factors are not taken into account even before the design stage, there is a serious risk that the project will not be approved for financing," Salawo noted.
He also emphasized the importance of social participation by local communities and municipal authorities, describing it as one of the key conditions for achieving success.
