Volume of transit oil transported via BTC pipeline up by over 2%

In January-November 2024, 35.36 million tons of oil were transported through Azerbaijan's main oil pipelines, 2.9% less compared to the same period in 2023, according to the country's State Statistical Committee, Report informs.
During the past period, 75.9% of transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil export pipeline.
In January-November 2024, 26.83 million tons of oil were transported through this pipeline, 2.9% less compared to the first 10 months of 2023.
During the reporting period, 81.8% or 21.94 million tons of oil transported through the BTC pipeline was oil produced in Azerbaijan, while 18.2% or 4.89 million tons was oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. During this period, the volume of Azerbaijani oil transported through the BTC pipeline decreased by 4%, while the volume of oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan increased by 2.3%.
