Turkiye plans to consume Black Sea gas from the first quarter of 2023, Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay, Report reports.
"I would like to give the good news to all our citizens in Turkiye that in the first quarter of 2023, they will burn gas from the Black Sea in their kitchens," he said.
Turkiye will invest about $10 billion in the production and transportation of 540 billion cubic meters of gas in the Black Sea.
Earlier, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Fatih Donmez said that Turkiye would determine a new supply program for gas production in the Black Sea, and Ankara would prefer short and medium-term contracts to not upset the supply and demand balance.
