Transparency is very important in extractive industry, says Azerbaijani minister

"The country's president always pays attention to ensuring transparency in Azerbaijan. The creation of a regulatory framework, increasing public participation, and other measures are underway," Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said at the presentation of the 'Transparency in the extractive industries' portal, Report informs.
According to the minister, ensuring transparency in the extractive industry in Azerbaijan is of great importance.
"Azerbaijan supports all international efforts for transparency in the extractive industries. The extractive industry has a special role in the state budget of Azerbaijan," Shahbazov added.
