Turkish electricity transmission company TEİAŞ plans to expand cooperation with Azerbaijan, TEİAŞ Chairman Mustafa Pustu said at the 5th Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum in Baku.
According to Report, he emphasized that electricity transmission plays a key role in ensuring economic growth, social welfare and national security.
"The energy transition, the integration of renewable energy sources into grids and the development of interconnectors between countries now require an approach not only at the national level, but also at the regional level," he said.
Pustu noted that TEİAŞ is responsible for the safe, high-quality and uninterrupted operation and development of Türkiye's power system.
"We attach great importance to exchanging technical knowledge and experience with Azerenerji, developing joint projects and expanding regional interconnectors. Our goal is not only to build new transmission lines, but also to create regional energy infrastructure based on mutual trust and taking into account the strategic advantages of Türkiye and Azerbaijan," he said.
Pustu stressed that TEİAŞ is ready to fulfill its commitments, work closely with Azerbaijani companies and contribute to the two countries' shared energy vision.
