SOCAR, Shell eye cooperation in Azerbaijan and beyond

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Shell discussed potential cooperation in various segments of the energy sector in Azerbaijan and other countries.
Report informs, citing SOCAR, that the discussions took place today during a meeting between SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and Shell Executive Vice President Walid Hadi as part of Baku Energy Week.
In this regard, the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed today between SOCAR and Shell was noted.
The sides reviewed opportunities for cooperation in upstream, midstream and downstream, human capital development, research and innovation, as well as the application of artificial intelligence, and exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
