SOCAR ink Memorandum of Understanding with Microsoft

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and Microsoft.

Report informs, citing SOCAR, that the memorandum envisages cooperation in the fields of digitization, innovation, information technology infrastructure improvement, human capital development, as well as exploration, production, processing, marketing, transportation, and cyber security.

As a result of SOCAR's direct initiative and successful negotiations, the signing of a cooperation document with the global technology company, Microsoft, will create a favorable basis for the creation of an innovation center of excellence for the country as a whole, along with SOCAR. Thus, Microsoft will further expand its activities in Azerbaijan.
