Azerbaijan will continue expanding the geography of its gas exports in 2026, Vitaly Baylarbayov, member of the Executive Committee of the International Gas Union and Deputy Vice President of SOCAR, said at the 31st Baku Energy Forum, according to Report.
"If we talk about gas, we are currently supplying it to 16 countries. This number will grow. It will increase already this year. You know about the contract we signed yesterday here in Baku. But there will also be new contracts and further expansion of our geography," he said.
In 2025, Azerbaijan exported around 25 billion cubic meters of gas, more than half of which went to Europe.
