Rovshan Najaf: Partnership with Comstock Resources opens new opportunities for SOCAR in US

The partnership with Comstock Resources creates new opportunities for expanding the activities of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in the United States and diversifying its business portfolio, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf said in a post on X, Report informs.

Today, as part of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2026), he met with Roland O. Burns, President and Chief Financial Officer of US-based Comstock Resources.

"During the meeting, we expressed our satisfaction with the recently signed Letter of Intent on strategic partnership and, in this context, exchanged views on areas of cooperation," the SOCAR president emphasized.

According to him, the partnership creates new opportunities for expanding SOCAR's activities in the US energy market and diversifying its business portfolio:

"I believe that bringing together SOCAR's international experience and Comstock Resources" strong asset base will create a solid foundation for long-term value creation and enhanced competitiveness."
