Production of urea in Azerbaijan rises nearly 3% in 2025

From January to August this year, Azerbaijan produced 429,200 tonnes of urea, up 2.6% compared with the same period of 2024, according to Report citing the State Statistics Committee.
As of September 1, stocks of finished products amounted to 68,200 tonnes.
Urea (a nitrogen fertilizer) is manufactured at the SOCAR Carbamide Plant, located in the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park. Commissioned on January 16, 2019, the facility has an annual capacity of 650,000–660,000 tonnes, using 435 million cubic meters of natural gas as feedstock. About 70% of its output is exported.
