Hungary is interested in increasing the volume of Russian gas supplies, Prime Minister Viktor Orban said at the talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Report informs.
“Given that the whole of Europe is now experiencing an energy, or rather gas, crisis, it was very important to conclude long-term contracts,” Orban said, noting that it was very important to conclude gas contracts (until 2036).
This includes a contract that the parties signed in September last year. The agreement is designed for 15 years, during which time Hungary expects to receive 4.5 billion cubic meters of gas through two routes - through Austria and through Serbia.
