Oil transportation via BTC pipeline down 3.3% in January–April

Oil exports through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline totaled 70.753 million barrels in January–April 2025.
Report informs, citing data from the Turkish company Botas, that this figure represents a 3.3% decrease compared to the same period in 2024.
However, in April 2025 alone, 18.510 million barrels of oil were transported via the BTC pipeline, marking a 3.84% increase compared to April 2024.
Currently, the BTC pipeline transports oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field block and condensate from the Shah Deniz field, as well as oil and condensate from the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR). Additionally, the pipeline carries oil from other sources, including Kazakhstan.
In 2024, a total of 224.142 million barrels of oil were transported through the pipeline, reflecting a 2% decline compared to 2023.
