Oil supplies by BTC pipeline through Turkey down almost 4%

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline pumped 17.514 million barrels of oil through Turkey in December 2021, Report informs, citing BOTAS, a Turkish pipeline operator.
According to the company, this figure is 1.008 million barrels or 6.1% more than in December 2020.
In 2021, the BTC pipeline transported 200.149 million barrels of oil through Turkey, a decline of 7.915 million barrels or 3.8% from 2020, when the pipeline pumped 208.064 million barrels of oil via the country.
The BTC pipeline mainly carries oil from Azerbaijan’s Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block and condensate from the Shah Deniz field. Besides, other batches of crude oil and condensate, including oil from Turkmenistan, Russia and Kazakhstan, are transported through the BTC.
