Kyrgyzstan has sent an official request to Azerbaijan to ensure stable supplies of fuels and lubricants (F&L) amid the unstable situation in the global energy market, Report informs referring to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Energy.
Similar requests have also been sent to the competent government agencies of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.
The ministry noted that measures are being taken to maintain stable fuel supplies and ensure the country's energy security. Concurrently, negotiations are underway to diversify supplies and expand international cooperation in this area.
The ministry emphasized that Kyrgyzstan currently has sufficient reserves of F&L, and deliveries are ongoing in accordance with previously concluded contracts and are constantly monitored.
It is noted that Kyrgyzstan imports the majority of its F&L, so changes in the global energy market, including geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, risks in international logistics, and rising global oil prices, are impacting the country's domestic market.
