Italy reduces oil imports from Azerbaijan by almost 10%

In January-July this year, 6.045 million tons of crude oil were exported from Azerbaijan to Italy, Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee.

The cost of this volume of production amounted to $3.774 billion.

The volume of products exported from Azerbaijan to Italy, compared with the indicators for seven months of 2022, decreased by 9.5%, and the cost by 24.2%.

The share of crude oil exported from Azerbaijan to Italy in total oil exports was 38.9%.

According to customs declarations, in January-July this year, Azerbaijan exported crude oil and oil products obtained from bituminous rocks for 15.540 million tons. The cost of production in this volume amounted to $9.444 billion.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan carried out trade operations with foreign countries for $30.333 billion. Of these, $20.777 billion accounted for exports, and $9.556 billion for imports.
