Italy makes up over 35% of oil exported by Azerbaijan over past two months

Azerbaijan exported 1,628,532.35 tons of crude oil worth $1,032,904,360 to Italy in January-February of this year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

This shows a decline of 10.14 percent in volume and 10.8 percent in value compared to the first two months of 2023.

In general, the share of crude oil exported to Italy in the total oil exports of Azerbaijan was 35.44 percent.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported a total of 4,595,490.11 tons of crude oil and crude oil products obtained from bituminous rocks, valued at $2,826,058,640.

In January-February of 2024, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth $7.227 billion.

The export operations accounted for $4.780 billion, and imports for $2.447 billion.
