G7 urges oil & gas producing countries to increase output

The G7 countries have called on the oil and gas producing states to increase output and expressed the opinion that OPEC should play a key role in this, Report informs referring to a statement issued following the G7 meeting.
“We call on oil and gas producing countries to act in a responsible manner and to increase deliveries to international markets, noting that OPEC has a key role to play,” reads the statement.
The G7 member states also promise to take measures to prevent a food crisis caused by the events in Ukraine and to help it with food.
The G7 countries expressed support for Ukraine and declared their readiness to monitor the strict observance of anti-Russian sanctions.
