France is trying to persuade EU countries to impose an embargo on Russian oil, said French Economy and Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire.
According to him, this is especially important in the context of the events around Ukraine, as the suspension of oil supplies will affect the financing of military operations.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron also called for restrictions on oil and coal supplies from Russia to the EU.
