EU on idea of creating gas hub in Turkiye

The European Union seeks to reduce dependence on Russian gas as soon as possible,Tim McPhee, a spokesman for the European Commission, told a briefing, commenting on the discussion between Russia and Turkiye on the creation of a gas hub.
He said Europe's position is clear - the Russian is what they are moving away from.
Europe seeks to reduce its dependence on Russian gas as soon as possible, he said, adding that infrastructure has nothing to do with it.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that Russia could move gas transit from Nord Stream to the Black Sea region and Turkiye. He discussed this issue with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. They instructed to work out the issue in detail and asap.
