Azerbaijan oil production reaches 26.5 million tons of oil this year

In January-November 2024, Azerbaijan produced 26.5 million tons of oil (including condensate), Report informs, citing the Ministry of Energy.

This is 1.1 million tons or 4% less compared to the same 11 months of 2023.

During the reporting period, 15.4 million tons of the republic's oil production came from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli field block, a decrease of 1 million tons or 6.1% in ACG oil production compared to January-November 2023.

Some 3.8 million tons of condensate was produced from the Shah Deniz field. This is 0.1 million or 2.6% less compared to the production figures for the 11 months of 2023. Also, 0.52 million tons (gas condensate) came from the Absheron field, which is 280,000 tons or 2.2 times more compared to the previous year.

During the first 11 months of this year, oil production (including condensate) by the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) amounted to 6.8 million tons, which is 0.3 million tons or 4.2% less compared to the same period last year.
