Denys Shmyhal thanks Azerbaijan for special contribution to Ukraine's energy resilience

Azerbaijan has played a significant role in ensuring Ukraine's energy resilience, Ukraine's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, Denys Shmyhal, said at the 31st Baku Energy Forum, as quoted by Report.

"Azerbaijan made a substantial contribution to our resilience during the most difficult period of last winter. Our Azerbaijani partners supplied generators, transformers, cable products, and other critically important equipment.

This support enabled us to get through the winter. Today, it is also helping us prepare for the upcoming winter season. Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Azerbaijan has announced 11 packages of energy assistance for Ukraine. We are deeply grateful for this. We would like to thank President Ilham Aliyev and Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov. We highly value such solidarity and sincerely appreciate it. A shared understanding of our common interests continues to form the foundation of our cooperation and mutual support," Shmyhal said.
