The Southern Gas Corridor plays a vital role in ensuring the energy security of Europe, a member of the advisory board of the Caspian Policy Center, former US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Robert Cekuta, told Report.
“The Southern Gas Corridor plays a vital role in ensuring the energy security of Europe. The reality of the global gas market is proof of this,” Cekuta said.
He stressed the importance of diversifying gas supplies to Europe.
“This is what the US has been working on with Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and the EU for many years,” Cekuta said, calling SGC a success in energy policy.
