BTC pipeline oil transportation via Türkiye declines by over 3%

The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline transported 110.152 million barrels of oil through Türkiye in the first half of 2024, Report informs, citing Türkiye’s BOTAS Petroleum Pipeline Corporation.
According to the obtained data, this is a decline of 3.622 million barrels, or 3.2% from the same period in 2023.
In June alone, the BTC transported 18.916 million barrels of oil through Türkiye, marking a decrease of 0.743 million barrels or 3.8% year-on-year.
The BTC pipeline primarily transports oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field and condensate extracted from the Shah Deniz field. Additionally, it handles other volumes of crude oil and condensate, including oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan
