BTC oil transportation through Turkey declines 12%

In April this year, 16.607 million barrels of oil were transported through Turkey via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.
Report informs, citing the Turkish pipeline operator BOTAS, that this is 3.526 million barrels or 17.5% less than in April 2020.
In January-April this year, 68.605 million barrels of oil were delivered through Turkey by the BTC pipeline, a drop of 9.184 million barrels or 11.8% from the first four months of 2020.
The BTC pipeline mainly carries oil from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) block of fields and condensate from Shah Deniz. Moreover, other volumes of crude oil and condensate, including oil from Turkmenistan, Russia, and Kazakhstan, are transported through the BTC.
