Brent crude remained above the $100-per-barrel mark on Friday as escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and ongoing supply disruptions continued to support the market, Report informs.
Brent crude futures rose 0.37% to $100.35 per barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures gained 0.5% to $91.71 per barrel, according to trading data.
Oil prices have remained elevated amid concerns over supply risks linked to instability in the region.
On Thursday, US President Donald Trump threatened strong military action against Iran and the Iran-backed Houthi movement in Yemen after the group attacked tankers in the Red Sea, opening what he described as a new front in the conflict.
