BP has announced its intention to stop concluding new deals to buy oil and gas from Russia, Report informs, citing TASS that a company representative told Bloomberg in a comment.
“The only exception would be a situation, in which there would be a threat to the security of energy supplies to consumers,” he said.
Earlier, another British oil and gas company, Shell, announced the abandonment of Russian oil and gas. The company clarified that they would also refuse to participate in all oil and gas projects in Russia, and as a first step, they would stop all spot purchases of oil.
