bp: Drilling of first production well on ACE platform is nearing completion

Drilling of the first production well on the Azeri Central East (ACE) platform, which is being built in the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) oil and gas block of fields located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, is nearing completion, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, bp's Vice President for the Caspian region, Communications and External Affairs, told Report.
According to him, three production wells are planned to be drilled on the ACE platform this year: "The process of drilling the first production well is almost complete."
The Vice President said that the first oil from the first well will probably be produced during the 1st quarter, and this will be announced: "Besides, there will be two more production wells."
