Azerenerji: Design of power transmission line from Azerbaijan-Armenia border to Nakhchivan completed

The design work for a power transmission line from the Azerbaijan-Armenia border toward Nakhchivan has been completed, Chairman of the Board of Azerenerji OJSC Baba Rzayev said at the 5th Azerbaijan-Türkiye Energy Forum being held in Baku.

Report quotes him as saying Azerenerji has been allocated an area in Nakhchivan designated for the construction of a converter substation, which in the future will become one of the main elements of a direct electricity connection between Azerbaijan and Türkiye:

"The implementation of the energy component of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) will make it possible to connect Azerbaijan's main power system with the Nakhchivan power system and establish a link for developing an electricity connection with Türkiye. Our cooperation with Türkiye Elektrik İletim A.Ş. (TEİAŞ) is not limited only to the interconnector project."
