Azerbaijan to train oil and gas specialists for hydrogen sector

Young professionals working in Azerbaijan's oil and gas sector will be trained and adapted to hydrogen and clean energy projects, said Rana Humbatova, deputy director of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) under the Ministry of Energy, Report informs.

Speaking during a student training seminar supported by the agency as part of the preparation of the National Strategic Outlook Document on Hydrogen in Azerbaijan, Humbatova stated that developing new knowledge and skills for the hydrogen sector is one of the main priorities.

"For this purpose, training programs, educational initiatives, and cooperation mechanisms with academic institutions are planned. Opportunities for localizing equipment production and services for the hydrogen sector are also being explored," she noted.
